ANTIQUE CHINESE QING OR MING NEPHRITE JADE SWORD ORNAMENT CARVING BEAST DRAGON

Description

Qing or Ming and may be older. Traces of ancient craftsmanship can be seen in photos. Color is lighter pale white with some tarnish patina, not pinkish brown like in the photos. Some obvious natural fissures.
At the time I bought it, a long, long time ago in New York city, I thought it might be a bit soft. So when I took it home, I tested it by firmly scratching it with a steel pin. It left a glossy mark and the surface being scratched remained perfectly fine, no scratched mark appeared, the jade was hard and unharmed by the steel pin. The glossy mark is still there, photo is available.

Depth: 14.5 mm approx.
Good antique condition with rubbed corners and edges, some wears through age and use, lots of tarnish patina. Natural fissures are tight and deep.
