This auction is for an antique Monarch Plate Brand Silver Plate Butter Dish with a dome lid top and knife holder.
It is stamped #221
The dish portion is footed and features a garland of tiny 8 petaled flowers and leaves on the rim.
This piece is 5" h with the lid, and 7 1/4" in diameter. The bowl sets 2 1/4" h and is approx. 2" deep.
This was a brand of the Standard Silver Company which was established in 1893 in Toronto, Ontario Canada. The mark on this butter dish is from this era.
