    This listing is for a
    single spoo
    l  of 22 gauge solid brass reed wire , manufactured by the Malin Wire Company here in Cleveland Ohio (est. 1884).  It is the same wire that was used by the bassoon section of the Cleveland Orchestra for many decades under George Szell.  (I know this because I studied with the late Stan Merritt, contra bassoon with the Cleveland Orchestra for over 30 years).
    This 4 oz spool will make approximately 200 reeds if wire is cut to standard 3" length
