Vinosky Reed Winder
.  As a proud father of an aspiring young and talented bassoonist, Mr. Vinosky thought he could  come up with an alternative to the laborious task of winding reeds. Combining his experience in designing  and maintaining large wind and hydroelectric turbines, he has designed  a revolutionary alternative to the way reed makers have been creating turks heads  for centuries.
Not only is this an affordable alternative to the very costly Rieger reed winder (,499), but is a simple and elegant machine that is both a huge time saver as well as a way to de-stress the muscle strain caused when winding the turks head by hand.
The right hand makes use of a spring loaded bobbin holder that with only a slight tensioning with the back of the hand, eliminates the often painful aspect of the thread cutting into the thumb and forefinger when making a tightly wound wrap.  The left hand engages a heavy duty crank shaft mechanism that eliminates the strain on the apposing hand.
The entire machine  is made from heavy gauge  aluminum stock and clamps easily to any reed desk.
And just for fun, the base of the machines is in the shape of a sixteenth note! and the handle is in the shape of a bass clef
